GAYTANTRA. Is It Different?

I used to understand David’s TantraFlow activities in the area of bi-gay tantra as an independent discipline within our Czech tantra family. And although I still acknowledge the clear technical and socio-cultural specifities, on the deeper, more substantial level I’m ceasing to set it apart. There is the only one sexual energy in us, that is pure, vital, fiery, pleasing. The possibilities how to reach it, how to ignite it, are different not only in gay or lesbian community, but in a sense for every individual human being. Every person has its own distinct triggers of sexual energy, shaped by their previous experience, family or karma. We can understand these variations as just a little bit different paths to our purest essence. We all have the same vulnerability, the same need of human compassion; we all need to remove our masks in which we already do not prefer to stay. Touch, tantra, pleasure, ecstasy – all this is a powerful experiential tool for our seeking, falls, victories and mistrust, no matter whether we love men, women or both. We are all blended from “inner man” and “woman”, whether we were assigned from above with male or female body. Maybe thanks to evening or inverting of these polarities in a course of life, we can experience attraction to the same sex or to both simultaneously, during a period of life. At least, it happens to us, women, sometimes, and there is nothing bad about it. This is why I do not split anything flatly yet.

And yet I feel that this area is in a sense undiscovered territory and exceptional theme. The one who decides to follow it with love and understanding, can feel great backflow of his spiritual investment. I consider the group of my gay friends as a very cohesive one, cemented with a kind of exclusiveness (this is actually true also for us, who have chosen tantra) and with a fight for their place in the sun, with all the prejudice, ridicule and misunderstanding, often on the part of the closest family members. Hopefully, the “smallness” and the social fear of everything that differs is gradually vanishing. As I perceive tantra in this particular gay environment, besides all that beautiful things that it usually brings, it can bring full acceptance to this group, that will allow them enjoy what they truly are, consciously and with pleasure. In this amorous and playful acceptance of “different” sexuality and in its cultivation, I see a great opportunities of impingement.
